I have set up a MS Excel pivot table report that feeds from a single table in an SQL Server database.
I'm now trying to create additional copies of this same spreadsheet to work against other databases - with the same layout for the same table name.
So the first spreadsheet works against DATABASE1.dbo.TABLE1 (via a File DSN / ODBC connection) - and I want the second to work against DATABASE2.dbo.TABLE2

I can't see how you change the datasource of a pivot table report.
How do I do this?
[Modifying the copy of spreadsheet to work against DATABASE2?]

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

Hi,

In the PivotTable Wizard, hit the BACK button to EDIT the query.

In the Query Editor, File > New to drill down to the server, group and table to format a new query.

Skip,

Excellent. That works a treat.
That's just saved me another few hours of work.
Thanks again.
