I recently tried to change the cyrus password on a Suse Email Server 3.1. I used the script recommended on the Suse support database site and restarted ldap.
However, when the password was changed it broke email with the following errors
postfix/cleanup[28693]: warning: dict_ldap_lookup: Search error 81: Can't contact LDAP server
postfix/cleanup[28693]: warning: 3AA44B438A: virtual_maps map lookup problem
postfix/cleanup[28693]: warning: C78ABB438A: sender_canonical_maps map lookup problem for
postfix/cleanup[28693]: warning: C78ABB438A: skipping further client input
I verified the cyrus passsword was changed in /etc/shadow and slapd.conf. However, it appears that postfix was still using the old password to connect to the ldap database?
Also, you were able to login the cyrus account to the
web front end with _both_ the old and new password? Any ideas? I'm guessing the password isn't getting set in the ldap database correctly??
Any help would be appreciated,
Thank You
Jeremy
