Here's the deal, I'm trying to save myself time but not smart enough.
I've built a report that works for 1 table. There will be 9 other tables that I need to built reports for that are identical to this one.
The problem I'm running into is I'm having trouble copying the report and the just updating the control source for the copies pointing to the new tables.
Looking through the forums, I've come across this thread:
Which implies that using dlookup("field","table") will work. However I'm haing problems. Any leads on how I can change the control source?
More technical details: Using MS Access 2002, SP3.
Report: Draws from a single table.
Report Fields:
[Question] - [SD] - [D] - [NAND] - [A] - [SA] - [NA]
Question is sorted in asc.
Some of the tables will have 5 questions, others 9.
All other fields return numbers as percentages.
After I update all the control sources, here are the problems I run into:
[Question] - [D] and [A] return results for only the 1st of the 9 questions (and then repeat those results for each of the 5 lines visible).
Also, I think I found the answer to this one...
Only [Question] - [D] - [A] show non-#error returns. I'm guessing this has to do with my poor naming conventions (spaces) so when dlookup sees ("strongly disagree","TableName") it has a fit. I'll go through and fix that.
****
Any ideas on why dlookup is only showing the 1st record in the new table I'm trying to point it to and then repeating it 5 times instead of showing all 9 records?
Is what I am trying to do even possible?
Any hints, advice, or pushes in the right direction are appriciated.
Thanks!
