Changing configuration on D-channels

I want to change one prompt in d-ch config
under Rcab from Colp to Nds and I do know that I have to disable d-ch
I have two d-ch’s one is primary, second is backup.I can disable backup but
It still can’t do the change to the d-ch is it because primary d-ch cross reference backup d-ch and do I have to disable both to do this ? Or is there way to do one d-ch at a time.

Last time I did this, I had to disable both D-Chans, although no-one can explain why!!!
