I made an app. and then selected 'make .exe' from File menu. Everything worked o.k and the app worked. Then I thought "that interface is boring!!" so I changed all the colours. Now when I select "make .exe" the compiling progress bar appears and gets to 100%, then the making .exe progress bar comes up, gets to about 15% and the program crashes. Eh? I cant quite work it out. I have tried many times, rebooting the pc every time! Do listboxes have to have a white background?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Did you change all the colors by going to each control/form in your project and setting the values there, or did you go to the Display Properties and change them system-wide?

If the former, then sometimes I've had the .frx files get damaged. What you do then is open the form in the VB editor, delete the associated .frx file, and then save the form thus recreating the .frx. Then go onto the next form in your project.

Chip H.
Yes I, changed all the colours by going to each control and setting the property values.

I'll try what you suggest, but I am not sure what a .frx file is!! I am fairly new to VB. I'll report back.

Cheers again!!

Sorry I cant work out where the .frx file is!!

Do you actually mean the .frm (or is that just a stupid question?)

I am stuck.

I have found the .frx files(Doh!) and your suggestion works!!!

However I have now pinpointed the problem. I have some SS_commands on one of my forms. In each one I have some text with the effects and stuff, and also I have loaded a bitmap to each one. The program will compile etc. if I remove the bitmaps but I dont want to have to do this!!

Any suggestions??
