I have a brochure where i am giving the client a few color options. Right now the color on certain text/objects is green, i want to change everything that is green to red. How can i do this in the simplest way without highlighting all text one by one and all objects one by one?

This is an excellent reason to use paragraph and character styles.

If you're not a fan of foresight, you can hit CTRL-F or COMMAND-F to bring up the Find/Change window. Under "Find Format", choose the current color. Then choose the new color under "Change Format".

You can also edit the swatch used for the color in the Swatches panel.
