Changing color of a Pie Chart that is embedded in subreport in V8 1

I was able to change the color of the Pie Chart in Preview mode. The color changes I made works when I run the subreport that the chart resides. The problem is when I run the main report it doesn't recognize the new color changes and goes back to the original color setting. Thought maybe it will recognize the change if I make the change in design mode but I was unable to find a way to do it. Any suggestions?

I just faced this issue yesterday!

After changing the color, right-click and select "Apply changes to All charts." I also clicked "Save As Template" to be safe.
