I have a to change colors in some lousy code a sub contractor did for our company. It's written under VFP 6 but the coding looks like its from mfoxplus days. They didn't use a form, they just @say/@get and define menus pads the old fashioned way. (Etc.)

1) Any tips/info on reversing video for the cursor/ (and screens) would be greatly appreciated.

2) Can I make the cursor appear a character width instead of as a thin line?

Thanks. The early bird may get the occasional worm...
but the 2nd mouse always gets the cheese.

If you can spend some money for fixing this "lousy" code, MicroEndeavours ( supplies a nice utility in their 2.x to VFP conversion package. It will create a real form (.scx/.sct) from a running screen (the @say/@gets). At least this way, you could then modify the workings in a normal VFP way.

I think you're stuck with the thin line (it's a Windows thing). To get a more visible indication of the field you're working on, you could add some code to change the back/forecolor in the gotfocus() and lostfocus() methods.
