Changing CallPilot Email Delivery 1

We are wanting to change the CallPilot notification email delivery from our old email server to our new email server. We have changed the settings in the External Email Server Properities but it is still using the old server.

Is there something we missed, or do we just need to restart the server in order for it to pick up the changes?

CallPilot 4.0 server.

You also make a change under:

MESSAGING/MESSAGE DELIVERY CONFIGURATION/SMTP VPIM

You should see your old server properties there as well.


 
Is a restart of the server necessary as well?
 
No, shouldn't need to.

But you might want to check the HOSTS file on the CallPilot server and make sure there isn't an entry containing the old email server name/IP address. If there is, you may need to add an entry for the new email server/IP address.

Lastly, from the CallPilot server you should be able to ping the email server by name and IP address.
