hello Norstar Gurus, I'm trying to reset a call pilot IP with hyperterminal.
I have it connected and configured per the install manual I power up the call pilot
wait a couple of minutes and nothing. Any ideas at all would be great. thanks

You've got the wrong cable or wrong RS232 settings or wrong com port.

Thanks for the imput, I have a regular db-9 from my pc's com port 1 "its the only one besides printer port" to the call pilot, re-checked settings 9600-8-none, and 1 no flow, VT-100 for emulation.

Then it's either the wrong cable. you need a null modem. Or someone has changed the baud rate on the CP.

Thank you very much the third cable I tried was the fix. FYI cables marked 940-0024D don't work.
Thanks again.
