Hi there folks,

I am trying to change the width of my Border. If I right click on my Text Box, Format Objects and go to Border. I want a single line, my border colour has a formula to it which works fine, but when I try to print the report the border colour is very thin. Is there any way if increasing the thickness\width of the border line (ie going to say 1.5pts). I have thought about using a Line instead of a text box, but then I cannot put a formula on the colour of the line.

Any help would be appreciated

Many Thanks
Thomas

One workaround is to add the text box four times, once for each border line. Then leave the settings at none for borders and instead, check "background" and choose the color you want (or use your formula). Then resize the text box, making it as flat as possible to form the bottom line, or as narrow as possible to form the left line, etc. The width of these new "borders", however, are about 3 points, perhaps too wide for your purpose.

HHHmmm,

Interesting way of doing it, but the only way that it will work at this point in time. 3 point may be alright, but, as it is now, ill have to shelve this for a month or two, it's not that important for the client now and will take me ages, I got a full convention centre layout and all combination of rooms to do. Was just being a little pro-active, they havent asked for this much detail as yet.

Thanks a lot for the help.
