I have a BCM400 that I need to change from PDD to FDD to allow Bus 6, 32 ports for digital stations. I know how to make the change but what impact does that have on the BCM?

Does it reboot? Is there any impact on the current configuration? This is a working BCM at a bank so I need to be sure. My manuals do not give any WARNINGS.

Buses 6 and 7 will be able to use the full bus for example a dsm32. Those buses were reserved in pdd for the old wireless companion which is no longer used. As far as the reboot I don't remember but it will tell you if it does. As far as 4.0 and the bcm 50 2.0 fdd comes right out of the box you do not have an option anymore because companion is not supported.

I believe you will need to reboot. You won't lose any programming though.

You don't have to do anything, the system will restart on it's own in about 10 Min.
