i have a definity G3 v6 switch. our holiday messaging uses seperate vectors and hunt groups to turn it on and off. i didn't set it up that way. my handset is the only handset that is able to turn them on and off. how can i enable another handset to be able to change this? the steps i follow to change the messaging are below.

Turn on Message

1. Dial 171 and wait for dial tone
2. Dial 90
3. Dial 4225. You will hear 3 tones and then silence

So when you attempt to make the change from another phone do you get a wave off..? if thats the case, it is probably a class of service issue. Check your class of service and temporarily change another phone to the same class of service and test it out. Console permissions may need to be selected in class of service for that to work.

i've checked the class of service and it didn't seem to change anything. it seems like i remember having to enter some sort of feature code to elevate a handset's privledges at a previous job who had the same definity switch. ring any bells?

i think i had to give the handset console permissions and i don't remember how i did it.
