Changing an Exchange Server name

Hi,

I need to change the server name of one of my Exchange Server. I have found the Microsoft way of doing it, but I was wonderfing if anyone had found a quick way of doing it?

Any help would be gratefully received.

Unfortunately that is the only way to do it :-(

Unfortunately MS have the book on this one. You want to rename; you have to start again.

Install another server into the site with that name and then follow the Q article on removing First Server in site if that applies and then move all mailboxes and replicate Public Folders over and your done. Let clients login so no problems with profiles and take a day off. Dan
