Changing an Array in Excel

I have Microsoft Access queries linked into some excel documents. From time to time if the file name of the database changes or the file moves, I have to relink the file.

Sometimes the change could be as easy as just slightly adjusting the link, but if I do so I get the error from "HELL" It says that an array can not be changed in excel. From that point on its a constantly looping error until I shut down the program via "ctrl alt delete"

I usually just delete the whole thing and relink it, but I wondered if a simpler way existed.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance
