I would like to change the Administrators password on my win2000 server, but I'm not sure how. I can require any of the users on the machine to "change password at next logon", but the Admin accout is setup as "Password Never Expires", therefore when I check the "change password at next logon" and click "Apply", it just gives me an error message saying "You have selected Password never expires. The user will not be required to change the password at next login". Please help.

If your using Computer Management to try and set the password then simply right click on the Administrator user and take the Set Password option - you will need Admin level rights to do this.

Log on to the server as the user you want to change the password for. After the desktop loads, hit CTRL-ALT-DEL, choose Change Password, enter the old password, and the new password twice, then hit OK and you're changed your password.

I always suggest logging off and then back on with the new password, prevents some issues we've seen. Also, if you have any services that use the Admin to log on as, you'll have to locate and change those passwords as well.
