With the combo card, I have the fax plugged into ext 17 which is the 8th port (2nd analog). I go off hook, I get intercom. I dial 17, the fax rings and answers. How do I get it to go off hook and grab line 3? I did auto line selection and in the box it says "Line 03". If I dial 9, it goes to line 3. Do I need 9 regardless?

Question 2: How does the customer re-record the Out of hours or any greeting from home? Say on a snow day?

Thanks in advance.

Try this: Create 3 auto attendants. In AA1, your main auto attendant, have Selector Code * transfer to AA2.

In AA2, have 7 Transfer to Number, Voicemail Collect (now you can log in and get your messages with *7, just like the old days).

In AA2, have 0 transfer to AA3, and in AA3 set 7 to dial by number. You should be able to dial the AA recording codes (7811, 7821, 7831, 7841, etc.) from here.

From the main AA, pressing *0 lets you then dial the AA recording code.

Works in Embedded on IPO edition, see if it will work that way on Partner mode.

Hi TT,

Going back today or Monday for followup. I will let you know! I did try to just have AA1 have 7 set to dial by number (just for testing, realizing security risks, etc) and when I dialed 7821 it just went right to "your party is not available". Lets see what happens with this method on the old good old Partner version.

I will let you know. Thanks!
