Hi

I have a hourly extract run by an SSIS package but the server is in the east coast of the US and the sites are in the US, UK and europe, currently i have a seperate package for each one but they do not take into account daylight savings time so when the clocks change i have to change the package, is there a function in sql which will change the server time to a specific timezone and take into account DST?

Thanks

matt

can you not get your packages to be based on getdate() and then just run them on the intended server?

I only have 1 server in the US where getdate() is Pacific Time, This server runs the extracts for the UK for example and i need this to display the dates in GMT and to also include Daylight savings as currently it is hard coded to 8 hours and it displayed incorrect times at the beginning of this month

Thanks

Matt

why not use getUTCdate() for all dates and then have the application decide what time zone to display. If I need to know multiple timezones I always store all data in UTC time.
