Changing a Huntgroup's DN

Thanks in advance for any help. Our Norstar Huntgroup 4 is set to DN 687. I want to change this DN to 733. My installer has told me not to use Change DN too much because it degrades the software. Is there any other way I can give Huntgroup 4 a new DN besides using Change DN? I don't see how.

Also, what is the difference between Change DN and Change DN Type? I can't find it documented and don't want to explore using Change DN Type without first knowing.

The only way would be to use Change DN, unless you program a new hunt group the same as hunt group 687 (if your system has a hunt group with ext.733 already)and remove all programming from the original hunt group 687. As for Change DN Type, that only applies to XC Software, it was for the companion type phones. I hope this helps.
