How do you change the phone type of a TN ? Do you have to OUT the DN first and then CPY data from another TN? And what does the n in "CPY n" equal? I am working with an Option 11c 25.4.

I need to change the phone at one extension from a 3901 to a 3902 or 3903. Please help! I'm just the A/V Guy.

Thanks,
Scott

You have to out it and rebuild it. You can't just change the type of phone. The "n" after CPY is the number of phones you want copied. If you 3 copies of an existing phone then you enter at REQ CPY 3

After I "OUT" the DN can I copy a configuration from a built TN to the OUTED TN using the CPY n command? I am assuming that LD 11 is the correct LD.

I apologize for this newbie question, but the Norstar ICS system was so much easier.

Thanks in advance.

yes you may

when you copy from another Tn will will need a unequipted TN (the one you just outed) and an available DN (the one you just outed as long as it did not have any other apearances)

once you copy, print the TN and see what other changes you mught need to make - rollover dn key 1, unique speed call number, DIG intercom setup, pickup group

Yes, you copy from an existing working TN. LD 11 is for Digital and LD 10 is for Analog. You can also create/copy both in LD 20.
