Changing 3905 to 3902 help 1

[VIPE]

Hi to everyone.

I have a problem changing a 3905 of TN XXX to 3902 using same TN XXX. I did a in LD20 put OUT TN XXX then NEW with Type 3902. but not working, now 3902 in TN XXX, I'm misssing something? system ver 4.5
I haven't playing with Option 11c for long time, any help

Note: I change a 3905 to 3904 same way with out problems and is working.

Did you get any error messages when you did the out on the old set? Is it an ACD set? If it's acquired by Symposium, you'll have to de-acquire it first, then out it. Then you should be able to build the new set.

Try entering it again, and post up the response from the PBX, not enough info to give you a good answer.

well one thing comes to mind reverse tip and ring
because on the 3902 it is polarity sensitive on the 3905
and 3904 it is not.

no problems only solutions

what happens when you try to prt the tn? sounds like corruption.. i would try a power cycle prior to the next edd. i never recogmend ps, but it's an 11..


note to strmwalker:

good catch but layer one can not prevent the actual build of the set... if can prevent the set from coming up

I read it that he tried to make it a 3902 and it did not work, but who knows.

it would be nice if the OP would answer questions if he wants a good solution.

thanks guys, I did an stat on port 18 12 and still showing idle with out phone to it.

thanks guy it was the polarity, problems my bad , getting old.
I switch it and every thing is back again, thanks
