So we all know that we are not suppose to make changes to TN's that are aquired but Symposium, Genesys or any other software. And we are also not suppose to make changes to TN's that have an ACD key (we must out and recreate the TN with the desired changes).

However, with MTE (Meridian Terminal Emulator) front end for MAX, there is a feature that allows one to change the ACD queue of telephones. Those changes are then apparent when you print the TN.

Is it a safe practice to change the ACD on acquired sets through Meridian MAX/MTE? Does anyone have a Nortel Bulletin that sheds some light on the subject?

The PBX in question is running rls 25.40b and yes I know Max has been EOL since forever, but I am looking for some insight on the matter.

Thank you,

Sets are 'not aquired' in MAX.
Set are 'known' in MAX to enable logging of the call statistics.
I've got no Nortel Bulletin saying it will harm/will not harm when using the MAX changing of ACD programming but used it for years without any problems.

Utreg,

Thanks for your message. Yes I am aware that MAX does not acquire anything, but other applications Genesys/Symposium do. And by making changes to the ACD key of the phone, can it adversely effect anything?
