We're experiencing some trouble with Visual Sourcesafe 6.0 and Visual Studio.net.
We've got three WinNT workstations (development machines), and one Win2K server.
The server/client have Visual Sourcesafe installed.
We are able to check in/out files correctly, however we are noticing that when one of the developers has a file checked out, all changes made by him are instantaneously pushed up to the server every time he saves the file in his Visual Studio.NET session. This means that if he's getting syntax erros on a file he's working on, the rest of the team sees those errors, and can't continue until they are fixed (i.e. can't build). This happens even though the developer did not check the file back in!
It seems that there are no "local" copies of files that developers check out! Is this normal? How can I change that, so that the files that are checked out are not saved to the server until check in time.
Thanks a lot all
