I'm running Windows XP Pro with SQL Server 2000. I just changed my Windows Password and now the SQL Server refuses to start. Gives me the following error message:

"The service did not start due to a logon failure."

Any help would be appreciated!

I guess is is logging on as you.
You will have to go to services and change the logon password.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

Thank you. I was trying to fix it in Enterprise Manager and nothing was working. Going to the services worked like a charm!

Thanks,

Well done - it always takes me ages to find where they've put services in XP :).
