Changed Server Name but same field names - Can I Keep report?

We just recently changed our server, but we have kept the same field names. Can I use my existing crystal report and just change the database server name in the fields? Thank you.

Yep - you should be able to - a lot depends on what driver/connection method was used to create the report. Go to Database/Set Location, select a table in your report, and point it to the new location. You'll be promted to apply the same change to all of the other tables - answer yes, but be aware that you may need to do this manually to each table, and your links may have to be re-created. For that reason, I like to keep a copy of the report 'as-it-was' for a reference until I kknow the new one is working. If you're using 8.0 or 8.5 Crystal has a utility (updatex) that will do this for a number of reports at once.
