changed PC name - old name still shows

2000 Server PDC, NT BDC, XP workstations -

I had a PC named MSRTF. I changed the name to MSRDD under "System Properties", "Computer Name".

The name shows correctly when browsing the network. When an Excel document is open at MSRDD the message to other users is that the document is locked by MSRTF. What is making this still show the old computer name?

Isn't that the name under the Excell installation? ie. when you install Office you have to put your name in, otherwise it takes the default of your machine name, then you click next.
