I have an application that, the customer chaged out 3 faxes that go though an ATA for all 3. They were working fine before that. The system setup is a 3.7 station side, tied with VoIP trunks to a 4.0, trunk side.

Any ideas on settings that could possibly be changed, and what is the T.38 fax support really supporting. Is that a newer fax protocol?

Thanks

Any ideas on how to also, bypass routing to only for the 3 faxes to use the local PRI on the station side, to make long distance calls without effecting the other sets routing. I need to make 91A dest code for the faxes, different than for the sets, is that possible?

Thanks.

Use a different access code, such as 8, then use that for the fax machines.

There were some DSP patches that affected T.38 fax operation for 3.6 I believe 3.7 as well. BCM monitor will show you if T.38 is indeed being used during a fax call. I'm assuming your codec is set to G.711 for the IP trunks? Fax over IP won't work if G.729 or lower is in use.
