changed hard drives

Is there anyway i can transfer quicken 2005 from my old hard drive to my new one? I do not have the cd. I am hoping there is a free program somewhere that will transfer the program over.

I had to move my HDD to a different computer...mobo went bad.

Don't know any transfer software out there that would do what you want...

alternate suggestion: eBay or Amazon...

e.g. $20 ($14 software & $6 shipping) gets you the Quicken Suite 2005 on eBay...

or $12 + shipping gets you Quicken 2005 Deluxe used from Amazon.com ...

WOW...didn't even think of that. That's even cheaper than program transfer software that might not even work.

This is the only one I know of but I don't believe its free.

Your only other option is to put your old drive in the new PC and navigate to the Quicken folder and double click the exe file there.

If your lucky and quicken either doesn't need or can recreate all entries in the registry when it runs then you may be able to get it to run correctly.

Otherwise Ben's suggestion may be the only viable alternative.
