Hello. We had two offices VPN'd together with the same domain name.
Office A-
Domain Controller 1: 10.29.2.215
gateway: 10.29.2.4
Handled all 10.29.2.x addresses
Office B-
Domain Controller 2: 10.29.3.15
gateway: 10.29.3.4
Handled all 10.29.3.x addresses
We finally merged everyone into a single office and I'm trying to merge our networks together. For various reasons I need to keep the 10.29.3 IP scheme. I changed the DC1 ip from 10.29.2.215 to 10.29.3.215. Changed the gateway from 10.29.2.4 to 10.29.3.4.
I think I'm still having DNS issues. Do I need to go through some 'start over' steps on my DNS? I still see my 10.29.2 zone out there. I still have the 10.29.2 in reverse look up.
I'm sorry, I'm aweful with DNS. Are there some steps I should go through when making a change like this?
Thanks!
Brian
