Hello

I am a new administrator of Windows NT and I have a question about domains. When I installed it I wanted put my server like a domain whith de name of bas( this have a arrange of disks) but I couldn´t because when the system asked me about the name, this told me that doesn't exist the domain(really a doesnt't understood this) so I had to define it like a workgroup.I have undersood that whith this type of configuration all user can modify the server and I donn't want this so I want know if there is a any way to change a workgroup to a domain to my users can log in this or I have to installl NT again?

Thanks

You have to reinstall to chnge a member server into a Domain controller, altho I did hear of some software that could change a server type, but as far as MS are concerned you have to reinstall.

Yup. You need to reinstall NT on your server as a PDC. Name the domain you wish to use. Then have the other computers join that domain.
