Change Wordpad default font from 10 pitch to 12 pitch 1

To me it is extremely annoying to have to change the font every time from nearly microscopic 10 pitch to 12 or 14.

Is there a way to do this? Thank you. Dave

It is possible to create somewhat of a template file with your desired WordPad settings and have the program open from the template. See the link to the following article for details on accomplishing this.

A pedant writes: you don't mean pitch, you mean point; pitch only applies to fixed width fonts - and in any case isn't actually something you have any direct user control over in Wordpad.
