I tried to change the public IP address to a new subnet (we are changing ISP) on a Sonicwall Pro 3060 and receive the reply "invalid IP address", I am doing this by editing the WAN interface (X1), does anyone know why I get this message, do I need to delete the interfce and recreate it instead of just trying to edit it ?
THanks in advance.

Check the IP doesn't overlap any other interface and check the subnet mask setting you've entered, that's the most likely cause. You certainly do not need to delete the interface to change the IP.

The problem was that the Sonicwall didn't like the third DNS server field to be left empty, so I entered 0.0.0.0 and it then accepted all the new settings.
