I am trying to change a user's password in a secured database. I am the administrator so I logged into it and selected the user on the Users and Groups section. Then I went to the change logon password tab but it has my name above the change password field. There doesn't seem to be a way to change this. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong

thanks that works but what if the person had forgotten their password and I as administrator had to change it?

As an administrator you DON 'T know his password, you just clear it and let him change it on his own!

It is his password, isn 't it?

Have a look at the ALTER USER SQL instruction.

Hope This Helps, PH.
