I have created a report in verson 8.5 based on a Crystal Query. I now want to base the report on a stored procedure in SQL Server so that the users do not have run the query before running the report. The stored procedure is written, but I do not know how to change the report to look at the stored procedure instead of the Crystal Query. I'm not sure that using "Set Location" will do the trick.

Is this possible, or do I have to rewrite the report.

Thanks.

I don't think that Set Location DOES work, one of the many reasons that using Crystal Query was a bad idea.

I consider the latest iteration (Business Views) to be similar, try to avoid proprietary layers.

I think that you'll have to rebuild the report.

However you can speed the process by saving the report under a new name.

Remove the Crystal Query from it (it'll complain a bit).

Add the SP data source.

You can also copy and paste objects between reports.

Yeah, I had bad feelings about doing it this way. I'll try your sugestion and if worst comes to worst, cut and paste here I come.

Thanks.
