I would like to know how to change the SOLARIS welcome image on Solaris 10.
To change the image where the system request the login user name and on the top "Welcome to ....", I mean.

Thanks in advantage !

To change the image, place the bitmap in: /etc/dt/share/include/bitmaps...

To change the welcome message:
copy /usr/dt/config/C/Xresources to /etc/dt/config/C/ and make you changes to the entries under "Greetings"...

Most likely you will have to create the directories under /etc

One more thing... Also modify the Xresource file entry: DTlogin*logo*bitmapFile to the new bitmap path and name.

Thank bfitzmail for your answers, but are OK for solaris 8,
I cannot obtain the same result on Solaris 10.

The start image on Solaris 10, is a big 'half-sun' and big logo 'solaris' on white rectangle.

What is necessary change ?

Thanks in advantage.
