Rant ON -
Who their right mind would create a piece of software that list ALL the shares on a network in one panel - Some %^$$ that works in a two person network.
Sorry 8?(
Rant OFF

Rather than keep the display of network shares as it has been FOREVER Some Microsoft developer has changed the default of displaying network shares available on the network to show you ALL the shares available in one window/panel.
I cannot find in the online help - or by searching the MS Knowledge base how to allow the user to open NN ( network Neighborhood ) and select the computer from the list- Then open it so the resources it has shared.

Help Thanks !

You can still use Windows Explorer (with a couple of added clicks). But that's about it. Also for whatever reason, the 'local shares' show in Network Places, so those can be deleted. Right click in Network places to see possible organizational options. I don't like it either.

You can create a shortcut to for example, a domain or workroup, & put that on desktop/quick launch toolbar (this is what I do). Then clicking on that just gives a list of machines belonging there.

Thanks for the info, i'll look at the Network places to see if there are any possible organizational options
