Hi,

The default install of MS Analysis services
would create the following folder and all databases
(dimensions, cubes) will be created in this folder.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\Data

Is there anyway to change this so that these data files are
stored in a different location (say E:\)

Thank you
U-

yes. I believe you can do a servers properties in AS and make the change there. if not you can make a regedit and set the directory there. All DBS and cubes will be built unde the same file path so you can't set Cube A for e:\ and Cube B for F:\.

you'll get something like

E:\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\Data\DB1\Cube A

Hi,

This can be changed in the server properties in Analysis manager.
Just right clickon server --> Go to Properties
In the General tab change Data folder and temp folder as required
