We have Merlin Messaging 3.xx. I can invoke the temporary closing message using the Merlin Messaging computer interface for what the system considers the default temporary closing message. I have recorded several different messages (one for holiday, one for bad weather, etc.)and have them stored in the Merlin Messaging folder on the computer that is hooked directly up to the system. How can I change to one of these messages? I do not want to have to record a new message when the reason for closing changes. TIA for any sugestions.

PS Hi Merlin Man

It's easier to record several greetings for the AA then switch via the touch tone interface for the Mer Msg syst. Alternatively, you can use the PC ADmin software for the Mer Messaging, and go to the AA page, and look for the record icon. There you can import another .wav file for the greeting.
Are you in the Northeast? I've never hear so much news hype about 8 - 12 inches of snow before. Drive safely !

Thanks for you answer Pepperz. I see where I can import the .wav file (was there but never saw the Import button-that's what happens when you hurry). I still can't find a prompt using the phone that will allow me to select an announcement number for the temporary greeting. I have tne feeling the answer is right in front of me but I just can't see it. I do need to know this as I am the one who would change the greeting from my home if the company closes. I can always record a new greeting but I know it can be done by touch-tone. TIA.

Yes, I am in the NorthEast-New Jersey. And as far as we were concerned, you are right-much ado about nothing. Wishful thinking on the part of a lot of people to have an excuse for a day off.

Thanks again for your help.

Once the temp greeting is recorded it stays there as the temp greeting, and I believe there is only a single greeting for the temp closure.
