Change tables depending on Parameters

I would like to be able to create a report that the user can enter a parameter (order number) and depending on the status of that order, the tables would change, for example if the order is cancelled I need different information than if the order was in progress.

Is there any way to change tables with code or based on a parameter?

I did think about using a view but I cannot link to my external tables (Baan) using the views. Any other suggestions?

Only if you can include (link) both tables in the report at the same time. You can then write an IF THEN formula that uses a field from one table or the other. Ken Hamady
