After open MS Word document and change style in existing text (bold->normal or something else) and then save document as MS word 97/2000/XP the style remain as before change - bold.
Saving document as OpenOffice.org the changes are completed.

Problem is that some of the microsoft programs don't support what or how Open office does things. Excel is very bad at this. Once you get the sheet the way you want it and save it as an Excel format... you have to use microsofts Excel to re-do the colums/rows again.

I found the temporary solution:

Must enable Asian language support!

Tools\Options\Language Settings\Languages
enable Asian languages support

and after that:

1. select text
2. Format/Character
in both 'Font' and 'Asian Text Font' set the preferred typeface (Regular, Italic, Bold or Bold Italic)

Thank you so much! I was this close <- 0.1 inch -> getting grey hair with the font problem! :)
