Hi All,

I have an IP Office 412 and am using IP Off Manager 2.1 and VM Pro 2.1. I have a user who wants to change her spoken name greeting, as she just got married and changed her name. I've tried deleting the user from VM Pro, IP Office, and getting rid of the VM Account folder for this user, all to no avail; the name is still there. I have a suspicion it's something simple I'm overlooking, but I'll be darned if I can figure it out.

Thanks a million for any suggestions.

John

Hi All,

I figured this out, in case anyone else is having the same issue.

In order to change the spoken name greeting, you can browse to (usually the default file path): c:\program files\avaya\ip office\voicemail pro\vm\names, find the <Username>.wav file, and delete it. When the user goes back into his voicemail, he'll be prompted to record his name.

Easier way: after logging in to your mailbox, hit 5 for the hidden options menu. Choice 5 again will prompt you to re-record your name.

Thanks a lot, Morrack. That's a lot more elegant a solution than deleting files!

Cheers.
