Change Sorting Dependent on Grouping Title

I have a grouping called "Positions" the grouping has two items(Long and Short). Each item has detail items in the detail section I want it sorted dependent on the group title
EXAMPLE: I want Long Desc. and Short Ascend

2
1
Short
1
2
3
How do I set the report to SORT in this way.

Go into report design, choose report properties (right click on the box in the top left of the access window and enter the sort order as Long Desc, Short Asc
(note that long and short must be the field names from the underlying table or query, not the control names as they appear on the report).

Long and Short are records within the [Positions] Field
I'm trying to sort each group dependent on the value in the major grouping field.
