We recently re-instaleed SMS to a new dedicated server and gave it a new site code as it was a dedicated machine with a different IP address to the old SMS server.

Is there am easy way to get the Client to re-install and recognize the new site code or does it need to be changed manually at each machine.

Well, Ideally you would build the new server and keep the same site code name, your going to have issues with the MP otherwise... and god knows what else

That said, if the old one was still alive you could push a package running a script to change the server on the client...
or install this:

and change the site code form Corey's tools (if both servers were online.

But really if the old one is dead, you would want to make the new server with the same site code and save yourself a ton-o-grief :)

Thanks for the advice I am going to rebuild the new server with the old site code and save 2000+ desktop visits!

Hopefully this will be fine.
