Hi, I have an IBM xServe 306m rack server. I wanted to upgrade the hard disks and purchased 2 new 750gb drives. Unfortunately I've purchased Hot Swap drives by mistake as the existing drives are Simple Swap. Out of interest, I popped them in to the server and they slid in perfectly. I then tried to set up the RAID but the server is not seeing the drives.

My questions are:

1) Can I replace hot swap for simple swap
2) If I can, am I missing something with set up which is causing drives not to appear in array utility / drive set up

Thanks in advance for any help.
