Change/Show Characteristics of a Journaled File System

Hi,
Can some one explain why I'd received this error message when I increase /live_dat filesystem? (By the way I did not setup this system, this system is set up using both mirroring and striping)

What does this mean? Also how do I increase the /live_dat filesystem?

You are trying to increase a striped logical volume and probably have other logical volumes on one or more of the physical volumes which is creating an uneven allocation of partitions.

That sound about right, AIXPadmin. So how can I increase /live_dat filesystem? Do I have to check anything? It can't be that hard. I must have to wrong concept, can any one explain to me in simple language? What should I check for? If there are anything you need to know just let me know.
