I have an old RP5470. I have the GSP login, but not the password.

Is there anyway to change the password?

There is a reset button on the back that changes all the GSP settings back to default.

This is a RP5470... HP Engineering being what they where, have the reset button on the inside... It would mean pull a production server out of the rack and then opening it up..

Then reaching into the adapter... Hoping that I do not accidently crash the server...

Found this command that I ran from UNIX.
stty +resetGSP < /dev/GSPdiag1

I had the console (ctl-B) over to the Service Processor prompt and after the reset, The Login and Password reverted to enter enter...

Set up the admin ID and password again using the SO command...

Learn something new (I mean old) everyday..

Thanks...

Thanks for the reply! I thought they had gotten rid of the /dev/GSPdiag1 ... Star for you!
