Hi,
I want emails sent externally to come from a different mail address then my own.
i.e. I am jo@abc.com, if i send an external message it should be seen as coming from bob@abc.com (bob is a valid address). Mail sent internally should continue to be received as normal i.e. from jo@abc.com.
I have sbs 2003 and outlook 2003.

I have seen this question asked on other forums but not seen a satisfactory reply.

Thanks.

What have you tried so far? Have you configured SendAs permissions?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

thanks for your input.
Was after something that would convert the address automatically. A rule type solution.

Have not tried anything yet.

The object is to send emails as if they come from the PA so replys come back to the PA who then filters them before fowarding to the director.

You could potentially script this within Outlook, but nothing that is server based to the best of my knowledge.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
