Hello,

I've looked everywhere for a solution to this problem but can't find anything that solves it.

I have an adp solution that i've created using Office XP Developer that has an SQL Server backend. In order to deploy this solution I have used the Packaging and Deployment wizard. The problem I have is that I use the code from MS knowledge base article:

Creating and Deploying Access Solutions with the Microsoft Data Engine

This all works fine but the problem is that the MSDE automatically installs in Windows Authentication mode. When the code from the above article tries to start the server on the target machine it fails the "sa" login.

This means that as part of the install instructions I have to get the user to change the MSSQLServer loginmode registry key manually.

What makes it worse is that I can't even create a registry edit file to run at the end of installation as the MSDE installs as a named server in the registry.

Any help would be superb. I've looked everywhere for the answer and it seems that no one else has this problem. How does everyone get round it?
