Hi folks,
i have a Samba-PDC and everything works fine
but: Windows- users are not able to change the
Password from their Windows-Boxes.
When i click the user/domain, there is the message
'The password for Roland cannot be changed' and
the 'Change password'-button is not active.
Here a extraction of the relevant smb.conf- parameters:
workgroup = SAMBADOM
netbios name = INTONATOR
encrypt passwords = Yes
null passwords = Yes
password server = INTONATOR
passwd program = /usr/bin/passwd %u
# I reproduced the pw-Chat from the linux-console...
passwd chat = *Changing\spassword\sfor\s%u\nNew\spassword:* %n\n *Re-enter\snew\spassword:* %n\n *Password\schanged*
passwd chat debug = Yes
password level = 1
unix password sync = Yes
name resolve order = wins bcast
domain logons = Yes
Any idea, whats wrong? Is it possible at all?
Thanks in advance!
