Change rings on remote maint port

Is there a way I can change the number of rings before the remote maintenance port on my G3r answers the call? Right now it is at one ring which does not allow a Caller ID box to capture the Caller ID information.

Not sure on a G3R, but check systemn parameters maintenance form & see if there is a field for auto answer ring count.

I checked it and there is no mention an auto answer count. But there is an area that lets you choose an internal or external modem. How hard is it to hook up an external modem? If I can hook an external modem I can control the rings then. Thanks for your help.

Won't work with an external modem on a G3r. Has to be set for internal. I don't think you can change the number of rings, either.
